As part of their February Auction, Massachusetts-based antique auctioneers Grogan & Company will be offering 77 lots of rugs, carpets and textiles.
The auction will take place on 23 February 2014, and viewers can watch and bid on the auction online. The full auction catalogue is also available from the Grogan website, however for those in the Dedham area, the auction exhibition will open on Wednesday 19 February 2014 and continue till Sunday morning before the bidding begins. Grogan & Company is located at 22 Harris Street, steps from the centre of Historic Dedham, a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts.
In addition to the oriental rugs, there are a few pieces from Asia that might be of interest, including a pair of Chinese silk and metallic thread textile panels (Lot 691) and three Chinese silk embroidered robes (Lots 692, 693 & 697A). Other pieces include a Flemish tapestry fragment (Lot 737) and some pre-Columbian and Tribal antiquities.
