Bonhams Oriental Rugs and Carpets sale in Los Angeles and San Francisco, 29 July 2013
Alone among the major international auction houses, Bonhams still has dedicated North American sales of Oriental rugs and carpets, mainly in their West Coast salerooms, but also occasionally in New York. The content of the sales, which are catalogued by Hadji Rahimpour, is mainly aimed at the decorative market, but occasional collectables also get a look-in.
