Skinner presents Fine Oriental Rugs & Carpets auction in Boston
Skinner’s annual fall auction of Fine Oriental Rugs & Carpets, the second under Lawrence Kearney’s direction, will be held in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 2 PM. Viewing will take place from September 26th through September 28th, and earlier in the week by appointment.The auction features over 300 lots of antique rugs, carpets, and textiles from the Caucasus, Persia, Anatolia, India, Central Asia, and China, including an early Shahrisyabz suzani in excellent condition, a collection of early shawls, an early Chinese rug, a Star Kazak, and a first-rate group of 19th century furnishing carpets. Many highlights of the auction come from estates, private collections, or museums.
