The Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show has been a Santa Fe institution for over 48 years. With the demise of the antique tribal art fairs on the West and East Coasts of the US, this show has strengthened its significance as a major event for tribal art, textile art dealers alongside the stands offering the event's particular strength. Every year Santa Fe is a draw for people interested in ethnographic art, and its special exhibition, The First Moderns, showing a collection of rare Diné/Navajo Germantown weavings from the 1870s to the 1900s, was an added bonus in 2026. Here are a few pictorial highlights grabbed by our HALI roving reporter.
