HALI to exhibit at Asia Week New York 2014
With only a few hours till the opening of Asia Week New York, we would like to announce that HALI will be participating in the event at the Bohemian National Hall. The curated Asia Art Fair will take place from 15-18 March 2014, with the preview night on Friday 14 March 2014.
During Asia Week, the Japanese Art Dealers Association (JADA) will also be presenting an exhibition of important works at the Ukrainian Institute of America, 15-19 March 2014. Five of New York’s top Japanese art dealers will come together in a collaborative exhibition with scores of work from different periods and schools. Exhibitors include Erik Thomsen Gallery, Koichi Yanagi Oriental Fine Arts, Leighton R. Longhi, Inc., Oriental Fine Art, Mika Gallery, and Sebastian Izzard LLC Asian Art. Additionally, each of JADA’s members will hold a public exhibition in their galleries, with the exception of Leighton Longhi, who will exhibit works privately and by appointment only. Highlights include a pair of luminous 17th century gold-leaf screens of cherry blossoms, and an extraordinary surcoat once worn over royal armour and made of thousands of feathers.
