For ‘Kum Kapi’, the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon is drawing on little known items from its collection to display a handful of very fine Istanbul workshop rugs.
Some fifty antique oriental carpets, as well as European tapestries, from the collection of the veteran Turin antiquarian Dani Ghigo come under the hammer at Christie’s King Street in London in the second part of the Dani & Anna Ghigo Collection sale on 12 May 2016.
