  1. Istanbul Carpet Week, 1-4 October 2017

    Two important exhibitions of historic carpets are opening at Istanbul’s Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum during Istanbul Carpet Week, hosted by the Istanbul Carpet Dealers’ Association (IHIB) in association with COVER and HALI, 1-4 October 2017.

  2. Anatolian Kilims in Baden-Württemberg

    This autumn, Harry Koll and Sabine Steinbock will put on an exhibition of 30 Anatolian kilims at Kunstverein Aalen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

  3. Classical Carpets and Renaissance Paintings in Venice

    A major exhibition, ‘Sérénissime Trame: Carpets from the Zaleski Collection and Renaissance Paintings’, opens on Thursday 23 March 2017 at the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro in Venice.

  4. Carpets and Islamic Art at the MIA, Doha

    ‘Imperial Threads: Motifs and Artisans from Turkey, Iran and India’, the current exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar (15 March–4 November 2017), brings a new perspective to the MIA’s remarkable permanent collection.

  5. Carpet Auction at Henry’s, Mutterstadt, 10 June 2017

    Henry’s in Mutterstadt, Germany will hold its 9th International Special Auction of Rugs & Carpets on Saturday 10 June 2017. The 321 lots encompass a wide variety of late 19th and 20th-century Persian, Caucasian, Anatolian, Chinese, Tibetan and Turkmen rugs.

    The collector’s carpet sale at Rippon Boswell in Wiesbaden on 3 December 2016 performed well with many pieces finding buyers at reasonable prices.
