HALI in London: Blythe House
As part of the HALI in London tour, taking place during HALI at Olympia International Art & Antiques Fair, participants visited the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Clothworkers’ Centre for the Study and Conservation of Textiles and Fashion at Blythe House. The V&A’s Moya Carey (Curator, Middle Eastern Department) and Rosemary Crill (Senior Curator, South and South-East Asian Department) displayed carpets and textiles from the museum’s archives especially for the group, focusing on Persian carpets and Indian textiles related to the forthcoming V&A blockbuster ‘The Fabric of India’.
