London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair 2022
After the 2021 online-only event, the London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair (LARTA) is back in person next year at the Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair in London’s Battersea Park from 25-30 January 2022.
Launched in 2011, LARTA remains the UK’s leading annual fair dedicated to the appreciation of antique rug and textile art. This specialist event brings together quality decorative pieces and interesting collectors’ items presented by some of the UK and Europe’s most dynamic and knowledgeable dealers. Caucasian and Persian tribal rug specialist Phil Bell, will be joining LARTA for the first time as a new exhibitor at the upcoming fair.
LARTA includes weavings from the Far East, Central Asia, Persia, India, Turkey, the Caucasus as well as Europe and Africa, at all price levels in a range of materials, techniques, colours and styles and from all periods up to the early 20th century. The event aims to promote the vibrance of antique rugs and textiles to a wide audience and offer a tempting array of textiles and weavings for collectors, interior decorators and designers, private buyers, and international dealers.
LARTA is the UK’s only regular specialist event for fine textile, art, antique carpets, vintage rugs and associated works of art. Eighteen of the best dealers from around the UK and France are exhibiting a rich blend of carpets, rugs and textiles on the mezzanine of The Decorative Fair. Organiser, Aaron Nejad of Aaron Nejad Gallery said, ‘We have a full complement of exhibitors, all of us keen to get back to meet interior designers, collectors and clients, old and new, face to face’. There will of course be a simultaneous online event LARTA Online, mirroring some of the items for sale for those unable to attend the fair in person.
