Rippon Boswell's 25th November 2017 auction, the first 'general' carpet sale in Wiesbaden for a year, is substantial in size, range and depth, with realistically priced high quality collector rugs and textiles from across Eurasia. Highlights among the 305 lots should include a Salor main carpet and other Turkmen rugs and trappings, Central Asian suzani embroideries, Shahsavan weavings in both pile and sumakh, Persian tribal rugs, Swedish textiles and a wide variety of other 19th century tribal and village carpets, kilims and other weavings.
