Mbuti Pygmy Barkcloth in Uganda, exhibition by David Sorgato
The twelfth edition of the Sartirana Textile Show took place 14-18 September 2016 in the scenic 17th-century rice mill La Pila in Lomellina, Italy and featured a fine selection of rugs and textiles from all over the world.
This year’s complementary exhibitions were a show on Mbuti Pygmy textiles by David Sorgato and top examples of Turkmen weavings from Italian collections, celebrating Jurg Rageth’s recent publication Turkmen Carpets. A New Perspective.
