The 5th International Symposium on Azerbaijani Carpets (ISAC 2017) took place on 17-20 October 2017 in Baku. The programme was ambitious, with three days of lectures, museum exhibitions and numerous cultural events.

In Vienna, the 223 lots in Udo Langauer’s upcoming carpet sale, ‘Fine Antique Oriental Rugs VIII’ at Austria Auction Company’s Palais Breuner rooms on 14 October 2017, are divided into four main catalogue sections.
The specialist sale: Oriental Carpets, Textiles and Tapestries is held at the Viennese auction house, Dorotheum at 4pm on 12 September.
