Thomas Cole’s exhibition, Steppe Art – Non Turkmen Central Asian Tribal Art, includes pile weavings, flat weave, silk ikat and embroidery attributable to the Uzbek, Kyrgyz and other tribal groups.
The second edition of Frieze Masters, London’s Regent’s Park from 17–20 October 2013, has grown considerably from last year, establishing its own identity rather than seeming to be a spin-off from Frieze London.
As in previous years the show, which included a handful of new exhibitors, lacked nothing in terms of the quality and variety of the material on offer, much of it at realistically accessible prices.
