After the 2021 online-only event, the London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair (LARTA) is back in person next year at the Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair in London’s Battersea Park from 25-30 January 2022.
On loan from the Saint Louis Art Museum, ‘As Precious as Gold, Carpets from the Islamic World’ features 32 carpets and one tent dating from the 15th century to the 19th century and is considered one of the most significant in the world.

The Washington Textile Museum, now part of the US capital’s George Washington University, has received a $18.4 million gift of more than 4,000 textiles, together with purpose-built cabinetry and an endowment, from the 1985 Trust set up by Lloyd Cotsen, former CEO of Neutrogena.
